Facebook Post: Dancing in the Rain

Sometimes you just have to take in life's little moments.

This picture was taken in Platteville a week and a half ago when we were walking to an activity. What you can't tell from the photo, is that it was absolutely pouring.
This was a day where the weather was crazy, and we were even told to watch for tornados. We decided to walk to an activity, (long story) and when we left, it wasn't even raining. We just grabbed our umbrellas because it looked like it might.
About halfway there, it started to drizzle, and about 30 seconds later it was coming down pretty hard.
Right in the last stretch it started to look less like a casual rainstorm, and more like a torrential downpour. I was almost concerned for my life!! We took the last bit at a sprint before crossing the street and finally arriving at the activity.
When we walked inside, we were absolutely soaked!! (Sister Hollingsworth especially haha, she didnt want to use her umbrella 😆) But the good news is that we made it!! And we enjoyed every minute of our adventure!!
I think the moral of this story, is that sometimes, the rains and the storms of life, those trials that we go through, seem dark and dreary. But if we look up, and thank our Heavenly Father for the rain, because it helps us grow, if we thank Him for the trials, and we appreciate all that we have, even at our lowest point, we will be able to find joy in every moment.
My challenge to you, is to keep dancing in the rain. To keep rejoicing in little wins, even when the losses seem so much bigger. Rejoice in our Savior, and give your sorrows to Him! He has already paid for them so we don't have to.
Find joy in every moment, and keep on dancing in the rain. ❤️
