✨️ Making Member-ies ✨️

Wassup peeps!! It's ya girl Sister Lovell back again for another round!! This week has been actually super awesome! We worked with members nearly every single day!! :D Well! Without further ado, let's get right into it!!

Monday

Last pday was in fact very chill. We went shopping and came home. That's about it. XD We just called family, cleaned house, did laundry, and wrote emails. I like emails XD.

My brother and I had a long call about pretty much just VeggieTales XD. Sounds like me and my family haha!

Tuesday

We had another District Council on Tuesday, and as it was the first one of the transfer we just did a testimony meeting again. It was pretty good!

Unfortunately we couldn't go out to lunch with the rest of the district because we went out to eat one too many times last week, so we were kinda broke. That's alright. Lesson learned I guess haha!!

We had a couple SPFs and lessons that evening as well. My favorite SPF was definitely the one with cute Sister Bauer! She and her husband are very young, early 20s I'd say, and they are less active because they live really far. There's probably other things that factor into that, but that's definitely the big one. They are also recent converts! It was a really cute lesson, and I hope that we can set up another time to talk with them, because they are the most darling young married couple alive. Or at least in the ward haha!

Wednesday!

Wednesday we also had a lot of SPFs! My favorite thing we did that day we probably that we heart attacked some members. We had 2 in mind, the Ratschs and the Griffins. We went to the Griffin's first, but someone pulled in the driveway right as we were putting the sticky stuff on the hearts in the car, so we decided to come back and do the Ratsch's first.

We got there and they were outside again, but when we flipped around to leave the cul de sac they were inside again. So we parked and sneaked over to the door. Before we could even pull the hearts our from behind our backs the two boys opened the door. We were CAUGHT!!! They said their mom wasn't home but would be any minute, so they helped us stick the hearts on the door, and we booked it.

We went back to the Griffin's, and the car was gone so we booked it to the door, stuck up the hearts, and booked it back to the car. I almost tripped face first onto the cement while running back. It was because there was a hole in the ground hidden by the grass. Nearly died, but didn't, so it was definitely a tender mercy there, but I think the Lord protected me if only because I'm a missionary rn [right now] and trying to do good and bring smiles. :D My life flashed before my eyes for a split second there, though! XD

Thursday!

Thursday was also a day of many SPFs!! We also had our weekly correlation meeting with our new Ward Mission Leader, which was yet again an hour and a half.

Funny story, on the way home we drove past the state fair which is currently in town. Unfortunately, the first day it was in town was Wednesday last week, and the last day was yesterday. So we were unable to go. 😥 That woulda been SO fun for today. Oh well 😆. (...just think of all the ridesssssss!!! 🥺😥 It's definitely better on my wallet though.... 🤣)

We did have a lesson with a new person!! Her name is Christel. She was pretty cool! We taught the Plan of Salvation, and it went well!

The funniest thing about this was that during the whole lesson I was sitting on a stool that was broken in half. If I didn't move, it didn't fall apart on me, so I sat like a statue.

The other silly thing was I was sitting right in front of two fans. It was hot outside so I didn't feel cold, but what was happening, was that I couldn't hear anything anyone else was saying. I spoke pretty loud to make sure everyone could hear me, but I was worried that Christel couldn't hear my comps who were speaking very quietly.

Afterwards I asked if they thought she could hear them, because I could only barely hear, and they said yes, and that they were sure she could hear me too. 😆

We had several other lessons that day, including one with Dean. We've only been able to get ahold of Dean around once a week or so instead of the usual 3 times. Always on Thursday too. Not sure what's up there. He is a truck driver though, so I'm sure his reception isn't always perfect.

Friday!

Friday we took off with an excellent start! The Englebretsons decided to take us out for breakfast instead of having us over for dinner, and it was awesome! We went to Central Cafe, which is actually where the Steven's took us for Sister Pearson's bday my first pday here.

The best part?? All three of us missionaries ordered the same thing, and it was like a taste from home, just not quite as good, haha. It was strawberry stuffed french toast!!!! It was sO good!! I have a lot of practice eating this, and occasionally getting seconds, so I scarfed mine down VERY quickly. I finished even faster than Sister Pearson, which was surprising because I swear she eats at the speed of light. It was AWESOME! 🍓

Most of our other SPFs cancelled that day, so we decided to do heart attacks again. This time we did the Curtis' and several less active members including our sweet Sister Larson whom we visit every week.

At the Curtis' we were trying to avoid being caught again, but their garage was open!! We drove past and no one was in the garage, so we sneaked past the garage and to the door. Sister Pearson and I got our 2 hearts each on the door and then their doggo Jax started barking like CRAZY!! We BOOKED it back to the car, and by the time we got in we realized Sister Orozco wasn't there, we turned around to look for her, and she got in the car. She had had 4 hearts instead of 2, and she had gone last. So we basically left her in the dust. 😆 Luckily we weren't caught that time.

Sister Curtis did tell us later that she had pulled into the driveway and thought she saw us driving away. That keeps happening; it's kinda insane!

We also visited the CUTEST less active old couple, the Johnsons!! All I have to say about them, is that they are probably the most gentle, cute old couple I've ever met. They're also both very short. Both under 5 feet haha! So cute!! Idk how this came up, but we talked about fish fry, which is super popular here, and we said we'd never tried it, so cute Brother Johnson gave us 20$ to go get ourselves some. 🥺 So... no matter how much premonition [prejudice] I have against fish, I will in fact be trying it because the cute old man gave us money to, and I won't be using that for anything BUT fish fry.

(Don't start cheering yet, I have to survive the experience first. 😳😶)

That evening we had a member meal!! We met the Beazer's at Pizza Ranch, (rather similar to Idaho Pizza) and had a good time with them there!! They are recent move ins, and they are a heavily Spanish based family! It was really cool! Their dad served in South America and ended up marrying one of the girls from a family he helped teach and baptise!! Super cute!

The mom's older sister was with them as well, and she speaks pretty much exclusively Spanish, and on several occasions I tried to speak Spanish to her, but apparently my Spanish is worse than I thought because she kept laughing at me. 😆 It was kinda hilarious actually. Oh well. I'm well aware my Spanish isn't up to par.

It was awesome to get to know them though!!

Saturday!

Okay, Saturday was so fun, but absolutely ridiculous.

Around 10:00a the McGoverns came back and brought our new bunk bed. Elder McGovern and I put it together while the others were talking. Not because they weren't trying to help, but because you can only have so many bodies in a small room before it starts to get a little too warm. Plus I was the first to help because I think I was the most excited about this. Photo attached of how it looks now! (Sadly no before pics. Just imagine a massive bed that covers the whole room, and there you have it.)

When we started off the day, we'd had four SPFs planned, but by the time the first one was supposed to happen, all four had cancelled. 😥

SO!! Instead of sitting on our butts all day and doing boring Facebook work, we decided to make cookies. A LOT of them. We each made our own batch of supposedly 24 cookies, but we ended up with far more than 72 cookies. I have a video, and it will of course be attached.

What we did with these cookies however, was even more fun than making them. We took them to some members, and gave them a second plate to share with someone that they thought could use some cookies! It went so well!! We even got in with some members we hadn't otherwise been able to!!

We also didn't get home til 9:00, so it was very much an all day thing we did. It was so fun though!!! :D

Sunday!

Sunday was good! Church was great as usual! We had 4 people there!!! Talisa, Solomon, Dean (over Zoom), and Mr. Peters (Sister Peters' nonmember husband)!! It was awesome!! It was our goal to get 4 people at church, so we were pretty happy to have reached it!!

After church there was a linger longer potluck! Now that, was fun. We sat at a very entertaining table. It was the three of us, Talisa, Teneal, Elder Curtis (Home MTC), and Graham Lonsdale. I think the funniest part of this was it was the missionary of times past (Teneal, 24), the missionaries of times present, (us three), and the missionaries of times to come (Elder Curtis and Graham, who both leave for the MTC within the next 3 weeks). And then there was Talisa haha! I did my darndest to include her in everything, because I'm sure she was a little lost with all the missionary talk. It was a lot of fun. :D

After church we had studies and then dinner with the Curtis'. It also happened to apparently be Elder Curtis' mission farewell party they invited us to, so that was a lot of fun! The Griffins were there too!

Elder Curtis flies to the Mexico MTC today. I made a painting for Sister Curtis of him, cause let's be honest, it's really for the mom. She loved it! Which is good! It's included in this week's pictures, of course.

We shared a rather chaotic Restoration [lesson] after dinner, mostly for his gf who isn't a member but was there. We had Elder Curtis participate, and he shared the first vision. It was awesome. We didn't get out of there until like 6:55p, though. 😳😆

At 7:00p there was a Bishop Youth fireside which was a lot of fun to attend! They had us share why we decided to serve, and after all three of us went I shared the importance of making the decision to stay. Both on a mission, and in the church. I think it went well!

This was also the last time we would see Eliana because on Wednesday she leaves for college. 😥 She's gunna do great though!! :D

We got home just in time for mission prayer and then headed to bed.

Today!

Today is an exciting pday! We did our shopping and chores and stuff already, and the Rapids Sisters are coming over at around 1:30p, and we're gunna go get ice cream, and go visit the zoo and just hang out! It'll be a lot of fun!! I love the Rapid's sisters. Sister Anderson was in my last district, and Sister Horton was in my hotel room the first night of the mission. I love them both a lot. :)

I Desire A Bear Hug 🐻

Wassup, my good peeps!! I hope y'all have had an epic week! I know this week's been an interesting one for me! At least as far as I remember lol. Here we go!!

Monday!

Monday was awesome, but crazy busy! The three main points were:

doctor's office
lunch with the Kellers
dinner with Talisa and the Boyacks!

The doctor's office was rather boring; I mostly just wrote emails to people.

Lunch was great! We went to El Mezacal which is a fancy Mexican restaurant, and it was excellent! Funny story there, they wanted to buy us dessert, and we asked the waiter how big the fried ice creams were, and he said small, like single scoop of ice cream, so we all got our own. They came out the size of like... a softball? I think? In any case, they were massive, and mine is still chilling in the freezer. 😆

Dinner was the singular best thing to happen all week. Our investigator/friend Talisa joined us at this member meal, and we played an EPIC tabletop game called "Here to Slay". It was a lot of fun, and I've already told my family they should check it out.

The best part about it, was that Talisa told us that it made her feel more a part of the church already. She doesn't really know everyone obviously, so it made her feel really welcomed. :)

Tuesday!

Tuesday was Zone Conference! We also had interviews with President Hansen before it started, (just our companionship) and that was pretty awesome as well!!

Zone conference was amazing as usual, and what was really cool, was that it was vastly different from how President Murphy did it this time. It was SO COOL!! Basically, they counted us off, and we went off into breakout rooms in the classrooms. We weren't with companions or anything, and it was honestly so exciting!!

The only sad part of it all, was that Sister Hansen wasn't able to come because she broke her arm a few days prior, and was resting. If yous want to keep her in your prayers that would be such a blessing to her!!

Otherwise it was so fun! We even did the Dominating Preach My Gospel activity!! All the office missionaries helped come up with the questions, and it was so fun!! I got out pretty quickly on the scripture reference question... I'm no good at references. I can tell you what it says, and sometimes even where it is on the page! But... not the page itself or the scripture reference.

After zone conference was over, we went on exchanges!! Sister Pearson and I went with Sister Skousen to Wausau! Sister Jesperson and Sister Orozco covered the Marshfield area. It was fun! We played Uno, and I got to sign a card because I won a round! :D We also got protein shakes. Not a fan. If I want a textured shake next time, I think I'll just get a malt. XP

We actually had a member meal that night, and the Hmong Elders were there as well because they serve in the Wausau ward as well. It was so fun!! I ate a Hmong pepper again. Why I keep doing this to myself idk. I had a piece probably about the size of the white part of my pinkie fingernail. (Probably smaller actually... I have long nails.)

Anyways, it was... just about as hot as I remember it being. Luckily we had milk. I have yet another video. It's included of course.

We also got to have a lesson with their recent convert, and he's so cool! He wants to serve a mission which is SO COOL! He's 21 I think? So he absolutely could!! :D

Wednesday!

After we got back from the exchange we had dinner at home, and then went to mutual for the first time since I've been here. It was so fun! It was at one of the leaders' houses, and they were having s'mores! I just had a couple marshmallows lol. We also got to talk to the girls, specifically Eliana, and Sarah McKee. It was a lot of fun because I feel like I got to know Eliana a bit better which as AWESOME because I definitely want to keep in contact with her.

On a slightly less exciting note, all three of our lessons cancelled that evening which was disappointing.

Thursday!

We had lunch with the old ladies in the ward out at the Englebretsons. Which means our Friday dinner was cancelled because we do one or the other. :) We'll get to that. The lunch was great though! They had fish, but luckily Sis Englebretson remembers me and my dislike for such things, and she had another option. Which was.... pork. 🤦🏼‍♀️😅🤣 SO! I had the choice between something that I STRONGLY dislike, and something that brings pain.

I chose pain.

Later we did some street contacting at the park by the zoo, and then IN the zoo as well. It's a free zoo, and it was pretty cool! I got to see some bears. 🐻 They were darling. They were also 10 feet tall. That's insane. I still stand by my wish to one day receive a bear hug from a legitimate bear. 🐻 We had fun there and will probably go back on a pday to actually explore the zoo.

After that we headed over to Ricky's house. He had invited us over for dinner and told us if we didn't bother to show, he'd never talk to us again. (You might recall me mentioning this in my last email.) So, we get there, and knock on the door! ...with no response. We knock three times and start to turn around to leave, but then his wife opens the door and says that he's sleeping. 👀🤨🤔🤷🏼‍♀️ idk man. The good news is that his wife was nice! She wasn't interested though.

We decided to eat out at China Chef where one of Sister Pearson's FB friend works. He ended up being our waiter, which was hilarious. He was being really kind, and then one of his coworkers came over and asked if there was a problem, to which we responded, "no...?" And he left, then as our waiter, Gabriel/Gabe, walked into the back/kitchen, one of the other coworkers followed and asked him in a teasing tone, "Who are your friends, Gabe?" emphasizing friends as if we were girlfriends or something 😆. We just sat there like, yo... we just came for the food. (Also to say hi, but whatever, haha) He never came back out of the kitchen, and we received a new waiter. 🤣

After dinner, we had a lesson with Eliana and Talisa! This was an awesome lesson because we were able to see where both of them were at while they were just talking to each other pretty much! Talisa is on date now as well!!! :o!! It was pretty much a perfect lesson. It was awesome.

We also had a lesson with Dean in the first time in a while. He'd kinda disappeared off the face of the earth since Sunday, but we got back in contact so that's good! Today was his first baptismal date, but we're having him pray about another because he's definitely not ready today.

Saturday!

The McGoverns came back and fixed our blinds. Huge blessing right there! The apartment already looks nicer because of it. ALSO! the fan in the bathroom works now!! They fixed it! Mega blessing! No more mold on the ceiling!!

Only reason I'm writing this is because it's probably the fanciest meal I've made in a while which is sad, but that's fine. I made myself some oven fries, and they were MEGA excellent!! ...Don't mind me, just downing two whole potatoes (in fry form) in five minutes. 😋

We went and visited a bunch of the less active members in the Marshfield area that day, which was pretty fun! Not much came of it, but no effort goes wasted, right?

We had a couple SPFs that afternoon, and then we got word that our member meal that evening was cancelled as well. By this time we'd also received word that our Sunday member meal was cancelled as well. ...beginning to notice a pattern? Yeah... me too. 😫😮‍💨😥 We'd had meals set up for every day of the week except Wednesday. Tuesday's was moved to Sunday, which was moved to today, and was then cancelled again, so we're just sad. The rest of em just cancelled.

I'm pretty sure I just ate ice cream for dinner. Again. 🤷🏼‍♀️👉🏻👈🏻

We had a lesson with Krysty!! We taught her the Restoration and she loved it!! :D

Sunday!

Sunday was good, we had Ward council at 8:00am, and that was pretty good, there was a little bit of beef started for a minute there about helping people who were "capable of helping themselves". We just sat there like, 👀😶 Luckily bishop resolved that. Thank goodness for bishops.

Church itself was amazing! Eliana spoke and she did amazing!! She moved me to tears a couple times. I love that girl. I'm going to be so sad when she leaves for college. Great news is if I stay even one more transfer I'll see her again in October! Elder Curtis, who is in home MTC rn [right now], spoke as well! He's pretty hilarious. He's headed to the Tacoma WA mission, so to all my Washington friends, if you see him say hi! (Not for at least a month lol) He's Spanish speaking though, so it might be a little difficult. But ya know. If you do see him.

Brother Filimaua also spoke, and that was amazing as well! Dean came to church which was great, but he barely made it in time for the talks, and only stayed the first hour as his daughter was being a tad rambunctious. We were so glad to see him there though!!

After church we did studies, but this time we did comp outside at a park! The only problem was we chose the one park with no shade. ...oh well. We had a good study either way! We did some friending and messaging outside and some street contacting.

At one point this guy I waved to came waltzing over and tried to tell us he knew what we were all about and he saw no truth in it. But good luck with the rest of our missions! It was kinda crazy.

We also had to go to the bathroom, but it was Sunday, so stores were out. There happened to be a Presbyterian church across the street with the doors wide open. So we went in, found and used the bathroom, and left. No one saw us, and no one knew we were there. It felt strange. We would've asked if we had run into someone, but we never did. We heard voices from rooms beyond where we went, but we didn't search them out or anything. It was kinda funny ngl [not gonna lie]. 😆 Felt like being in a movie. Especially because the building was odd.

We did a prayer call and found Gabriel after dinner. Which was so funny after what happened with dinner on Friday. We're calling him tonight.

And then Mission Prayer of course! Sister Cutler and Elder Anderson are headed home today they stayed to finish their full 18 month/2 years to the date instead of going by the transfer. I found it interesting that that was an option... 👀 Anyways, Elder Anderson said the prayer because of it. :D

Today!

Yet another unplanned pday, but I like it that way. We'll go shopping at some point, but rn, we're just chilling. :)

I've been listening to a cool audio book recently put out by a church author. I've definitely enjoyed it so far!! Let me know if you're interested and I'll send it to you!

We Eat Like Kings 👑 (mostly)

Hello there!!

This week has been a pretty good one!! It's had some wacky stuff that's for sure... just wait my friends, it's gonna be a bumpy ride!!! 😆

Tuesday!

It was in fact a very chill pday. We went shopping and got Culver's for my 9 months, always good stuff. I wrote my email as well as several friends, which always makes me happy. :)

That evening we had a great lesson with our friend Talisa, where we were trying to help her figure out how to tell her parents. We decided we'd fast with her and she would do it Friday. :)

We also had a lesson with our friend Dean and we invited President Lonsdale to join it as well! It was an audio call, but Pres Lonsdale clicked the button to invite us to do a video call instead. That was fine by us, but Dean was driving his truck. He got it turned on to video, and I hadn't noticed, but he quickly apologized for wearing the shirt he had on because there was a "church guy" there. 😆😅😳

I won't tell you what it said, but I bet you could guess. Just one word. ...it was an adventure for sure. Pres Lonsdale definitely looked like he was terrified the whole time, but that also might be because of the shape of his glasses.... not sure. He did bear solid testimony at several points in the lesson, so it didn't affect him too much haha.

We found out after the lesson, that in the middle of the call, Talisa had called and texted us a few times. We tried to call her back with no avail. Turns out she had told her parents that night because she just couldn't wait. She was so nervous and excited, it was darling actually. We texted her a bit, but she was mostly unresponsive which rather worried us.

I was on the phone with my parents/fam when she ended up responding, so I had to cut that a bit short. (Sorry guys!!! ❤️)

Wednesday!

Wednesday was pretty much your regular run of the mills day, not really anything exciting happening until around dinner time. We decided to heart attack 2 different families:

First, the Hashbergers, who are decently recent converts, and just went to the temple recently to be sealed as a family!! They're cuties. :)

Second, we had planned to get the Ratsch's, but they were outside, so we had to go elsewhere. We ended up going to the Brunsons, and their front windows were open, so we had to be particularly sneaky. We got all the sticky stuff on it before we walked up to the door, and then we booked it, quietly stuck 'em up, and then booked it even FASTER back to the car. Just as we were pulling out, they pulled into the driveway 😳👀😨😲. We felt pretty sneaky. 😆🤣

We were invited to dinner at the Curtis'!! They are THE coolest!! They made us baked zede (spelling??) Which was basically lassagna but with Penne noodles and no meat. It was EXCELLENT! We had a good time with them, and we played telestrations to demonstrate the apostasy, and how things get changed over time.

All 3 of our lessons cancelled that evening, so it was rather boring other than that.

Thursday!

We had a lesson with Eliana again!! We invited her to invite a friend for her recent convert lessons, and she did! Her name is Meghan, and she's really cool! MAD elect, but she's actually at college in Utah already, it was her last week in Wisconsin before going to USU out there.

It was an excellent lesson though!! :D 👑

We had a lesson with our friend Phil too! He's really cool, he's catholic, mighty mentioned him last week. This time we were over at 11, and he and his kiddos and mother-in-law were all eating lunch, so they offered us some, to which we accepted. Definitely stress ate during that lesson.... the food was excellent though, so, there's that 😆

The problem with the lessons with Phil, is he wants to go way too deep into topics that don't really matter for salvation. Like, "where did God come from? What does we can be like him mean? Who was the OG God?" And we're like, first off, you clearly don't understand the concept of eternity, and secondly, you gotta start at the basics man! All this legit doesn't matter for your salvation. They're not gunna ask you at the gates of Heaven if you know the answer to these things, and if you don't, "oop, sorry buddy, you didn't make the cut." 🤦🏼‍♀️ ...It's a work in progress guys.... he'll get there. Some day.

We had an awesome SPF with a cute lil' old lady!! She has the cutest house! She just moved in, not too long ago, and we loved talking to her! Apparently, she talked to a family member of mine, who said to say hi, but I had no clue who she was talking about. All I remember is a possible last name of Honey??? Idk. But we had a great talk with her!

We had another SPF with a cute RM named Teneal! She just moved out here from Spokane Washington. She's super sweet, and we had a great talk with her as well!! ❤️

We went to dinner at the Smiths! They are the cutest little old couple. They made us something called Quick Tamale Pie, or as Brother Smith called it, Q. T. Pie. 🤣 it was excellent! They also gave us MASSIVE slices of cheesecake, and that was also muy bueno.

Okay guys, here's where the bumpy ride begins.

We called this guy over Facebook, and he answered and was mega bashy. At one point we were just trying to get off the call, so I bore my testimony of the church, and how no trial could change my faith, because I'd made up my mind, and he started to argue that too. I'm like.... yo... legit why does it matter to you?? I wanted to quote Zootopia, "Does making me feel bad somehow make you feel better about your own sad miserable life??" Anyways... bashers.... the literal worst.

Edited to add: I had my brother look up the Zootopia quote, here's the actual quote:

“What is your problem? Does seeing me fail somehow make you feel better about your own sad, miserable life?”

“It does, 100%”

I love Zootopia. :D

That is all

Right after that we called our friend Dean! We had Brother Curtis join the lesson. We were reviewing the Plan of Salvation, but tbh we didn't get too far. We got to the Spirit world and then got drastically derailed. 👀

We asked him what he thought of the afterlife, and he said there's gotta be a purgatory before judgement, and we said, well... kinda. But we call it the Spirit world. And tHEN he went off on a tangent about Purgatory Pass in... Colorado? And how his best friend killed his pet racoon, and how he got mad and took revenge on the matter. Won't go into details, cause not my place to, but holy heck. We had to mute ourselves several times to just go, "wHAT IS HAPPENING???" It was insane. Poor Brother Curtis probably thinks he's insane.

Not to mention he started calling Purgatory Pass, "Spirit World Pass" which was ABSOLUTELY hilarious. All in all, a weird couple of lessons.

Friday!

The only really exciting thing about Friday was that we had dinner with the Englebretsons! It was pretty good! It was enchiladas, which were excellent. I had no problem staying away from the side dish of corn, because it was spicy street corn. I took my 2 bites to be polite, but did not have any more. Spicey + mayo?? Not for me, man.

On the way home we had an excellent lesson with our friend Dawn about the first half of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We only got to repentance, because she needed some comfort on the matter, to which we were happy to oblige!

We also called this one guy off of Sis Pear's fb, Daniel, and it was SO HARD to get in a word edgewise. We were on the call for like... 45 minutes, and by the end, we told him we had to go like 12 times, so we just yelled into the phone while he was talking, "GOTTA GO!!! BYE!" And hung up. Then he proceded to text us for like... ever. ...not particularly looking forward to that next lesson... 👀😳😬

It was also Sis Pear's mom's bday! So she left once it was 9:15 we told her to just go in the other room and call her mom, we'd end the call with Daniel. It wasn't til 9:35 ish that we just hung up.

Saturday!

We had an apartment inspection that morning which was pretty great! Lol this apartment is in pretty bad shape, but there's not a whole lot we can do about it. We've done what we can, but... holes in the carpet, a fan in the bathroom that doesn't work, sticky floors, broken blinds, broken desks/couch.... *sigh* some Elders... 🤷🏼‍♀️

The McGoverns said they were proud of what we had done so far, and they'd talk with Elder and Sister Ellis to see what we could do from here. They also fixed our broken oven handle, shakey table, and a few other things! So that made a difference!! :D

They were darling.

We went to Culver's for lunch because we have practically no food in our house, and we wanted ice cream. It was excellent as always, and needed because a member is taking us out for lunch today, so pday Culver's is cancelled this week. Sis Pear and I bought pints of custard from the freezer there. I got double strawberry, which is sO good!!!!

We visited some less actives that afternoon which was so fun! Only 2 of 'em answered the door, but that's alright.

We had an SPF with Sister Larson, which was awesome as always! She's a cute lonely old lady. We love visiting her.

We found someone that evening!! Her name is Angela! She had been talking with Sister Pearson over fb, and was very intrigued by the Plan of Salvation! We'll be calling her again!! :D

Oh! Side note, all of our missions fb pages are down rn [right now], because we're cutting the amount of pages we have in half, because were transitioning to focus on member work. Instead of Zone pages, they'll be shared over 2 zones. It'll cut the work load down a lot. They're also changing the names of the pages. 👍🏻👍🏻

Sunday!

Oh my goodness! Sunday was insane! Talisa came, but she only made it to the Walmart parking lot where we were going to lead her from, because her car was acting up. (One of the tires was off centered, and being mega wonky.) So Brother Brunson came and took her from there to church, and we waited with her.

This made us 10 minutes late to church, but that's alright... 😅. It was for the best cause.

The speakers in Sacrament meeting were AMAZING!! I had zero worries there, only that she was paying attention to the speakers and not to the rowdy children an aisle over. 😅 The speakers talked about our divine worth, how we can receive revelation as we ask of God (Aka the Restoration!! Pop off Teneal!!!!), and a homecoming talk from the Lonsdale's oldest son, Ebon, who just got home from his mission.

It was amazing!! Solomon was also there, but because he was on time, and we were not, we didn't even get to talk to him until after church. Joseph (?? Maybe Josh???) McKee sat by him, which was awesome.

We had Relief Society with Teneal, and she seemed to have enjoyed it!! Several of the sisters introduced themselves to her, and the sister conducting asked her name and gave her an official welcome. :) Sister Boyack said hi, and even texted us later to invite Talisa to join us at dinner at their house this evening!!! Literally the Boyacks are my favorites. They're brand new, and already being so incredible!! I love them.

After church we found Sister Brunson who was going to be giving Talisa a ride home. Talisa also talked to Eliana, because they're both in very similar situations, but Eliana already is baptised of course. More on that later.

After Talisa headed out, we snagged Sister Ratsch and had a lesson with Solomon!! Talking about members popping off; she bore incredible testimony! You could just see the Spirit wash over Solomon!! It was epic!! We taught the Restoration again, because last time.... yeah, needless to say, we wanted to correct any possible misconceptions.

After the lesson, Sister Ratsch told us that after we had left her house last week, she had the feeling that we would be inviting her to a lesson, and that she needed to go. She didn't know when, but she was key to the success of that lesson. The Spirit is real, guys!! Wow!! She also said she'd be more than happy to join again anytime. 👑

We came home and had lunch, mostly ice cream. (...this is probably the unhealthiest companionship I've served in, and I have no clue why. 🤣😅🤷🏼‍♀️)

Pretty much the rest of the day was typical, but we did go street contacting at an empty park! 😅🤦🏼‍♀️ We ended up calling this guy Ricky; if you read all these, he's the one that just randomly showed up to church like 2 weeks ago, then left cause he came late.

In any case, we're going over there on Thusday, and he said if we don't show up, he won't talk to us anymore; he won't go to church with us anymore; he won't accosiate [associate] with us anymore, and he'll give the church a bad review. On what? Idk. But in any case, we'll be there. Probably bring a member with us for... safety reasons. (Don't worry, he's not dangerous, just crazy)

We also had a lesson with our friend Krysty, who is Dawn's daughter, and taught her the Plan of Salvation! (I'm getting real good at that lesson) She said she didn't see any reason not to believe it, so that's exciting! She said she'd pray about it too!! :D

We had mission prayer, which was the last thing! It was awesome as usual!

Today!

Today is the least chill pday I've ever had. We had initially planned to have an SPF at 9:00, but she cancelled. We have a doctors appointment for Sis Orozco, and then we're immediately going to lunch with the Kelleys from the ward. Then we'll have to go shopping, and then we had dinner tonight with Talisa and the Boyacks! Crazy day. I'll be mostly chilling in the waiting room at the doctor's office though, so it's not completely chaotic I suppose 😆.
