But in October?? So... who allowed this exactly?? 😂
In any case! Hello and good evening, my dearest friends and family! This week has been a crazy one, so we're gunna go pretty fast!!
Monday!
Okay, I said I'd explain the district pday last week, so I'll give an itinerary basically lol.
- we started out by all the Sisters going to the bathroom. Ya know. The classic gaggle of girls XD.
- when we came out, the Elders were playing Frisbee, and didn’t invite us to join, so we decided to play catch with the football
- this was eventful, as neither I nor Sister Anderson are particularly good at football. (Or just sports in general lol)
- I got to be pretty okay at throwing the football which was a surprise. I caught it maybe twice. That’s because it was thrown by my gentle amiga Sister Anderson tho haha
- I'm too lazy to write the rest of it, so I'm going to cite my journal entry on the matter.
The only other thing I would like to mention, is that I have the best brother in the world. Long story short, I got to talk to one of my favorite humans, my choir teacher Mr. Curtis. (Thank you Mr. Curtis!) You can check out the details in my journal entry photo included herewith.
Tuesday
We had District council, which was awesome as usual! We went out to La Taqaria again, and Sister Olsen and I split the California burrito because that thing is massive. We had a good time with the district. We always do. :)
We had a lesson with Christel, as well as our friend Cody! Both went really well!! We did some service for Christel and helped her pack some dishes, (I think that was this time), and we had an impromptu Word of Wisdom lesson which was amazing!
Wednesday
Goodness sakes was this a busy day or what???
- studies and such in the morning
- we went to visit Sister Theresa Mallory. She had her 99th bday recently, and is still taking care of her son. She is very healthy, it amazes me! :o
- we had a lesson with Christel where we PUT HER ON BAPTISMAL DATE!!! :O We're super excited about it!!!
- we had dinner with the Ellsworths which was really fun! They had really good tacos. 😋
- mutual was that evening; the young women played glow in the dark dodge ball, and I got to play! I got out pretty quickly lol.
- we had a lesson with our friend Solomon at Central Cafe which went really well, actually!!
Thursday
We had our last zone devo that morning. (Unbeknownst to all of us in attendance, including those hosting it.) I'm rather sad to say I don't remember what was talked about. (Gotta cut me some slack tho. That was a week and a half ago.)
We had exchanges that day!! Sister Olsen went to Wausau with Sister Hlebasko, and I stayed in Marshfield with Sister Jesperson.
Sister Jesperson and I had an awesome lunch with Sister Calli! ...well, lunch is relative. Lol it was just pie because we'd ready eaten lunch. I got hot chocolate too cause it came with mine. 😋 We had a good conversation with her!
After that we booked it to Christel's because we were running a tad late. (Lol, a tad... anyways) We had a good lesson with her about the 10 commandments and keeping the Sabbath day holy! It was pretty awesome. :)
That evening we made ourselves some spaghetti (it was yummy) and ate it while we watched my brother open his mission call!! Congratulations to him!! 😁 Sacramento California's never gunna know what hit 'em!! 😆
We had a lesson with Cody again!!
Friday!
We were still on exchanges that morning, and we had a service project with the Lonsdales! When we walked outside, we stopped short because it was SNOWING!! 🌨 On October 14th!!! Legit not even halfway through the month. What even 😆?!
The service project was awesome though!! Sister Jesperson had actually done service for her in Wausau before, so the connection was there, and it was awesome. We were helping her move stuff from her old house and parent’s house here in Marshfield into a truck. I got to do a lot of heavy lifting and stuff. 💪🏻👊🏻🤣 Packing moving trucks happens to be a ✨️spe-cia-lity✨️ of mine haha! Long story short, I'm pretty good at figuring out what will fit where. It's come in handy a few times haha!
After that we picked up some Starbucks on the way home, and then made lunch before heading to exchange back. We were a little late to exchange point (5-10 min) because we were scarffing down our oven roasted potato fries. They were phenomenal as usual. 🥳😋 It was a great exchange altogether. :D
Then! I got the cutest Sister Olsen back!! Woohooooo! Love her! ❤️
We headed directly to coordination with Brother Beil. ...I need to get my mood in check in those meetings. We always talk for an hour about the same thing every week, and I get so bored of it. It was Sister Olsen's first one though, so she was hyped and excited about the whole thing, cause she'd never heard the whole shpeal before.
In any case, I was pretty excited when we headed out lol. Maybe that's not something I should admit in this email, but oh well. It was either here, or the journal, and I didn't write that day. 😆😅
We did some weekly planning after that, which is always good! Gotta set those goals!!
We also called Cody that night. :)
Saturday
We did the last zone prayers and calls this day. Again unbeknownst to all of us. I'm rather sad about all of this.
We had our usual SPFs this day! Sister Parks and Brother Snapp, Sister Larson, and the Freemans! Bonus points! We also had Cody that evening!
Sunday!
Church was good, of course! I actually spoke! I talked about finding out who our Savior is to us personally and His many names. It went pretty well, I think!
The rest of the day was really chill. :) Sister Olsen made up a recipe for cookies that day which was really cool. Basically they were apple crisp, but as cookies. Muy bueno they were.
That's all from last week, folks! You'll receive my second email later today. :) Thank you for your patience! ❤️
We can do this!
